Sublime Text 2/3 is one of the best open source IDE for web developer. It has a wide range of resources for development of websites and apps. It has “CSS prefixer”, “Color Picker”, pre-build html snippets in “Emmets”, error checker for java scripts like “Jslint” and many other packages. Installation of Sublime Text is very easy in Ubuntu terminal. So lets do it.
Open terminal window via “Ctrl+Alt+T” and run these commands For Sublime Text 2
then, open the Sublime Text Editor and press “Ctrl+~”. A small section will appear in the bottom of the Sublime Text. Now paste the copied script in the area as shown in the figure and hit “Enter”. It will install the package control in the Sublime Text.
Note : If you got an error during installation the package control script then you can do it manually. Go to the package control script site’s page from above link and read the steps for manual.
To install packages like Color Picker, Emmets, Open Sublime Text, press “Shift+Ctrl+P” and type “Install Package” and hit “Enter”. This will open a small window. Now search packages that you want to install like Color Picker, Emmets, Jslint and others and click on the packages to install.
